In Japan, there are several famous mascot figures, all of them representing bringing blessings, wealth and health to the one you give to. They are often given out at New Year events, celebrations, parties etc.
One of them is the Bear. The Bear and a boy, Kintaro are come from Japanese folk tales which about adventures. They are especially representing courage, faith and hope in our life.
